Even most of local Hongkongers may not realize, that there was a “westerners-only zone” in the south of Cheung Chau. This area was back up with ordinance between the two World Wars, and its boundary was marked with 15 boundary stones (B.S.). After WWII those B.S. were abandoned, though not demolished deliberately, at least no one cared about them. Some went broken or still missing, that only 11 of 15 can be located by 2019.
